Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 3/4 cups milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well blended.
Prepare the wet mixture: In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add milk, oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract, mixing well.
Combine wet and dry: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Avoid over-mixing to keep the batter light.
Preheat the waffle maker: Ensure your waffle maker is hot and lightly grease it if it’s not non-stick.
Cook the waffles: Pour a ladle of batter into the hot waffle maker and close it. Cook according to your appliance’s instructions until they are golden and crispy.
Serve warm: Enjoy your waffles immediately with powdered sugar, maple syrup, or fresh fruits.
Notes
For a richer texture, use whole milk or add some hazelnut milk for a nutty twist.
